10 Point Charter!

Rules for the '10 Point Charter':

> Participants need to submit 5 points of their own on 'How to make Kolkata more eco-friendly'
> The best entries would be selected, which would compile the 10 point charter.
> The institute's entries which would be selected will get a certificate from us.
> The charter would be presented to the Mayor on the day of the event.
> Winners would be announced on the day of the event.
> The name of the Institutions whose entries would be selected will be mentioned while giving it to the Mayor.

Film it !

Heyy everyone... ! Kolkata Footprints is here now… and how!

Symbiosis Institute of Media and Communication together with The Times Of India present to you, Kolkata Footprints, 6th November ’09, Kala Mandir, 9:00 a.m.

And this time we give you an opportunity to show us your film making skills.

Make a short film on the topic “Kolkata Fresh Angles” and it’s on you how to unravel this topic!

Follow the rules and get going ~!

1. The movie should be a minimum of 3 minutes and maximum of 4 minutes long.

2. You can shoot your movie with a cell camera or a Handycam. Anything will do!

3. The movie should be entirely your perception of the topic.

4. The submission date is 6th November before 9:00 a.m., Kala Mandir, just before the seminar commences.

5. Write the movie on a cd along with your details in a word doc.

6. Give your Name, School/College/Occupation, Contact No.

7. The best works will be showcased during the seminar!

8. Win attractive Prizes and Certificates of Achievement and Participation!

Plantation Drive

1st November will see a 'green' change with the upcoming 'Tree Plantation Drive' -- An initiative of LIONS CLUB and KOLKATA FOOTPRINTS 2009, at the Lion's Safari Park, near Rabindra Sarobar at 10:00 a.m.
We will plant around 100+ saplings and will be accompanied by Nature Club members!
Be a part of "Green Kolkata, Clean Kolkata".. Come, join us to make Green Kolkata's favourite colour! :)

Photography Competition !!

Hello everyone! Symbiosis Institute of Media and Communication together with The Times Of India present to you, Kolkata Footprints, 6th November ’09, Kala Mandir, 10:00 a.m.

We have a photography competition for you all to take part in – 5 Shot Story!
The best three entries will get a prizes and certificates.

‘5 shot story’ is all about a good, short, story line and the way you present them through your photography skills. Please abide by the following to take part in one of the most revolutionizing events of Kolkata.

Rules:

1. Present a short story in 5 pictures only.
2. You can click your pictures through a camera or cell camera. Anything will do!
3. The photographs MUST be clicked after 23rd October ’09. Any previously taken pictures will not be accepted.
4. The story can be on anything. We have kept an open theme!
5. Put your photographs in a Powerpoint Presentation, one per slide.
6. Give a title to your story in the last slide.
7. The submission date is 6th November before 9:00 a.m., Kala Mandir, just before the seminar commences.
8. Give your details in a word document: Name, School/College/Occupation, Contact Number.
9. Write the PPT and the Word doc on a cd.
10. The best works will be showcased in the seminar!
